Carousel Ride

We had the opportunity last weekend to go to the Gand Rapids museum where they also have a Carousel Ride. Their carousel has hand-carved horses along with other animals including a giraffe, a lion, and a tiger. I've always loved riding merry-go-rounds ~ as long as I got to ride on an animal that actually went up and down rather than just spinning in a circle!

T,

Oh, so pretty. I use to love taking my boys on the carousel...to see their face light up when the horse would go up and down. Thanks for the delightful memories.

Hey! I 've been there! they took great pride in that they assambled that carousel from old carved original pieces. We didn't get to ride it though. I still want to make one for myself and just plant it in my living room. I love the look of the carousel horses running and kicking. Very pretty! Thanks for the memories.

Thanks The Great Ethan Allen!
My kids love riding on the carousels and ask to any time we are somewhere where there is one. I love the fact that this one is hand carved and refinished from the old ones. Hopefully I can get my daughter to paint some of the animals for me.
